Toronto Raptors Fanatics - Biography #1

Hello everyone, my name is Jonathan Joubran!
I am one of the many Toronto Raptors Fanatics, and may I add… these Fanatics are the most AMAZING Raptors fans anyone will EVER see! It’s a great honour to have met these people and get to constantly know them better throughout the season! Just wanted to give everyone a little about me, just to show why I deserve to be a Fanatic, and why I love the Raptors!
Well let me start off by saying that without Raptors… haha I’d most certainly be lost! Lets see, my first game that I ever went to was way back when I was in grade two (long time ago!) against the New York Knicks; it was a Christmas gift from my father. I was so thrilled to go to my first Raptors game as from there, my love for the game just kept growing. Don’t tell me how I remember this, but Allan Houston on New York missed the game winning shot, so I was pretty happy that we won!
From there my love for the Toronto Raptors sky-rocketed. But that was just when I was a kid! Growing older I started going to more and more games with family members and friends; maybe two or three a year, but for me that was not enough I wanted to go to a lot more! My friends always say I’m a crazy Raptors fan, because my room is filled with Toronto Raptor items, and I always try to plan my day around Raptors games so that I would be able to watch them play. So when asked to be one of the Toronto Raptors Fanatics at the Toronto Raptors Fan Jam was pretty much a dream come true for me. It’s the greatest thing ever, I truly mean that! I stuck threw the tough years with them, and I will keep sticking with my team no matter what! Raptors fan till I die!
Just some more facts…
- Most memorable games that I went to:
o Feb. 2005 Raptors vs. Lakers: My first game sitting in the box seats. Raptors won in overtime!
o Last season St. Patty’s day Vs. Hawks: Bosh’s game winner was pretty awesome!
- Favourite all-time Toronto Raptor: Jalen Rose
o I’m his number one fan, he named it, and even signed a picture, mailed it to my house saying “To Jonathan, my number one fan!” Haha that is pretty awesome to me!

- Favourite current Toronto Raptor: DeMar DeRozan!

Lights, camera, ACTION!!!

Last night, the Toronto Raptors played a hard-fought game vs. the Atlanta Hawks.  Without the likes of Reggie Evans (foot injury), Raptors fall 96-78.

Here's a quick look inside the Air Canada Centre where the 'Raptors Fanatic Zone' takes centre stage as the Raptors play the Atlanta Hawks!

Game Day and Get Well Reggie!

It's game day in Toronto and the Fanatics are ready to cheer!! If you're at the ACC, come say "hi" and feel free to join in on any of our chants and songs!

We are excited to get the Raps back on home soil and beat the Hawks, but we also want to wish a big GET WELL SOON to Reggie Evans! We hate seeing you on the bench and hope your foot is only a minor injury. Positive thoughts and a quick recovery from all of us!

In the meantime, we know that the team will do their best and come together for another great game.

It's game day. Let's do this!

Raptors Win! Raptors Win! Raptors Win!

Raptors won their 4th straight game last night in a record-breaking game for Reggie Evans!

The Fanatics (that's us!) were there to cheer on Reggie as he got a franchise-high 15(!!!) rebounds in the first half and a career-high 22 rebounds total. Wow! Way to go Reggie! 

Hopefully he heard some of our cheering!

Fanatics will be back in effect this Sunday, November 28th against the Atlanta Hawks.
